About Us

Christopher Nentarz, PT, CSTS, NASM-PES, CSTI

Director and Physical Therapist 

  

Chris is a physical therapist and movement coach specializing in movement science and sports orthopedic rehabilitation.  He is the Director of Rehabilitation and Wellness at THRIVE at D’Youville College. Chris has over 21 years of experience working with athletes of all levels, including athletes from the NFL, MLS, World Soccer, NBA, MLB, U.S. Lacrosse and professional triathletes. He is currently a lead TRX®, TheraBody, and SpiderTech™ educator and a sought-after speaker on topics related to sports medicine and performance. Chris is a firm believer in an interdisciplinary approach that focuses on educating and empowering athletes and clients to succeed using movement, mindfulness and education.

Kaitlyn Alongi, MS, RDN, CDN, ACE-CHC

Dietetics Coordinator 


 Kaitlyn Alongi is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Health Coach. She received her undergraduate degree in nutrition at SUNY Oneonta and her master’s at the University at Buffalo. Kaitlyn has experience teaching nutrition in the community and providing outpatient care to a variety of clients. She specializes in nutrition counseling for all forms of disordered eating. Using an intuitive eating, mindfulness based approach she helps clients achieve a healthy relationship with food and promote body positivity. Kaitlyn provides trauma-informed care and uses gentle nutrition to guide clients toward their goals. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking and yoga.  

Dr. Karla Rodriguez, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist, specializing in Pelvic Health


Dr. Karla Rodriguez is a physical therapist and pelvic health specialist located in Buffalo NY. She has suffered from pelvic floor dysfunction for over a decade sparking her interest in helping those whose voices often go unheard by other healthcare providers. She received her undergraduate and doctoral degree from D'Youville University and has taken extensive specialization coursework through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction for both men and women. 

Dr. Kate Rozborski, DC, RYT, RKC

Chiropractic Coordinator 


Dr. Kate earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic from the National University of Health Sciences in, Lombard, IL. Since school she continues her love for education human biomechanics and received further certifications in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), Neurokinetic Therapy (N.K.T.), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (S.F.M.A.), McKenzie Method (parts A&B). She has also earned a 200-hr yoga certification and is a certified RKC kettlebell instructor.   Dr. Kate has a strong interest in active care and the body’s ability to heal itself. In her treatment plan she uses a blend of soft tissue treatments, rehabilitative exercises, and yoga postures to help optimize patient’s movement and function to alleviate symptoms.  

Dr. Sagar Soni, RMT, DPT, BPT, DOMP

Physical Therapist 

  

Dr. Sagar has a vast academic background and he possess the certifications and have been successfully practicing in the field of rehab in USA, Canada, as well as in India, and having a versatile experience of about 10 years. Dr. Sagar has completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University, PA, USA (2021), Diploma in Manual Osteopathy in North York, ON,, Canada (2021), Diploma in Massage Therapy (2020), Postgraduate Certificate in Exercise Sciences and Lifestyle Management, Toronto ON, Canada(2010), Bachelor of Physical Therapy India (2009). Apart from working at Thrive as a PT, Dr. Sagar is also currently practicing as a Licensed Massage therapist and as a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner in Canada. He has work experience in treating cases such as low back pain, neck pain, migraines, vertigo following the motor vehicle accident or workplace related injury cases, post-operative orthopedic surgical cases such as joint replacements, rotator cuff tears, spinal surgeries and many more. Dr. Sagar is looking forward to providing holistic and collaborative rehabilitation skills to assist the members of the community in their healing journey and to promote a good health in the Buffalo community.
